Health Checks and Consultations

Whether it’s for a routine health check, or whether you you’re worried that something isn’t quite right with your pet’s health- we can help!

Our appointments are a comfortable 30 minutes long- there’ll be no rush and no stress.

There will be plenty of time for your pet to get to know us, and we will make sure that they’re comfortable with the exam.

Your pet will get a thorough examination, and there will be plenty of time to ask questions and to discuss your concerns.

We know that everyone is different, and we’ll make sure that our treatment plan works for you as well as your pet.

The vast majority of health issues can be dealt with at home. If the condition is more serious, we will refer you back to your clinic for expert treatment there.

Video Consultations

If you live further away, we can arrange a video consultation.

This works really well when your pet doesn’t necessarily need a hands on exam.

Maybe you have lots of questions about a particular aspect of your pet’s health, for example vaccinations, food, holistic parasite prevention and much more.

Maybe you feel overwhelmed with everything that has been done and said at your home clinic.

It can really help to talk it all through with someone. We help you to get a clear understanding of your pet’s condition, what has already been done and why, and what your options are going forward.

Or are you looking for holistic options to support your pet alongside the conventional treatment they’re receiving from your home vet?

We can help with all of that.

Just like with our face to face consultations, we always work in partnership with your home vet. We will ask your home clinic to send your pet’s clinical notes to us, and we report our notes back to them after the consultation.

We strongly believe that openness and collaboration is the best way for everyone.

If this sounds like something you need, please contact us to find out if a video consultation is suitable for you and for your pet.

Lifestyle Assessments for Elderly Pets

This is such an overlooked area in Veterinary Care. When our elderly companions slow down, when they’re less active and interact less with us, we often put it down to ‘normal ageing’ and accept it as something that we can’t do anything about.

We’ve heard countless times: “It’s just his age”.

But there is so much we can do to help!

Home visits really come into their own here. It is invaluable to see the pet in their normal daily environment, and even small changes can often have a big impact.

We look at diet, exercise, home environment, useful supplements, pain relief and much more.

If you have an elderly pet and are wondering if there’s anything that could be done to help them be happier and more comfortable- the answer is almost certainly: Yes

We highly recommend you book this appointment.

We carry a range of medications with us, ready to be prescribed for your pet on our visit. If your pet needs medication that we don’t have with us, we’ll order it in and post it out to you within the next few days.

You can also ask for a written prescription if you prefer to buy your medication online. A prescription fee applies, please ask for details.

Emergency and Out of Hours Care

Our working hours are weekday daytime only, and we are closed on bank holidays. It’s therefore quite possible that at some point you may need a vet and we’re not available.

It’s important that you are registered with one of the local clinics as well as with us.
