Let’s talk about teeth!

Let’s talk about teeth! This is such an important topic. Did you know that by the age of 2 years old, approximately 80% of dogs show signs of dental disease? And cats don’t fare any better. Isn’t that shocking? And then again, how many of us- hand on heart- take...

Christmas Safety Quiz

Christmas Safety Quiz How many of these did you know about?   Keep mince pies and Christmas pudding well out of reach of pets, and call your vet straight away if they manage to eat some. Grapes and raisins are highly toxic to cats and dogs and can cause kidney...

Adding fresh to the bowl

Adding fresh to the bowl Let’s be honest, we all love to share some of our food with our cats and dogs (and other pets too)! But there’s so much conflicting information out there. Is it ok to share? And if so, what’s safe? To cut it short: Of course it’s safe to add...

How do I know if my pet is in pain?

How do I know if my pet is in pain?

How do I know if my pet is in pain? This is a question I get asked almost every single day. If only they could tell us. The thing is - they do! Just not with words. Pets have so many ways to show us that they’re in pain, but they might be different to what we expect....

It’s spring! Time to think about detox

It’s spring! Time to think about detox.   Just as we like to spring clean our house, it’s a really good idea to spring clean our bodies, and those of our pets, too. And while any time is a good time for a detox, spring particularly lends itself to it. Why? In all...

How to help a coughing dog

How to help a coughing dog   Just like us, most dogs will pick up a cough at least once (but probably several times) in their lives. Usually this is nothing to worry about. Just like us, when we get a cold, the cough is irritating, sometimes painful, but...

Testimonials

We are so thankful to have found Pets Relaxed and we do feel part of your family.
Its so good to have peace of mind knowing that you have vets to take good care of your animals in the comfort of your own home.  It is also reassuring for me now that I am a carer for my partner and that you are aware of our home situation and try to accommodate us accordingly.
Bree is a character and has a red mark by her name at Medivet not because she is a red tabby.  When Thorsten first came I couldn’t believe the difference in the cats, Bree didn’t run away just looked at Thorsten adoringly and Finbar rolled over and purred. Bree now a bit warier as now seeing Thorsten usually means an injection but even so she doesn’t get as stressed as she used to having to travel to the vets, neither do I!
Again thank you and keep up the good work.  Also a thank you to your reception staff who provide such an efficient service through the pets app and are always friendly and helpful over the phone.
Would just like to say if anyone has a dog with arthritis to try laser therapy.
Shadow my Labrador cross who is suffering from arthritis has had 3 treatments and has improved since starting the treatment.
Shadow is a lot more relaxed and doesn’t seem to be in any pain the same it’s definitely improved her life would definitely recommend.

Katja's treatment of my 16 year old springer spaniels arthritis with acupuncture and subsequently electro-acupuncture has made a huge difference to her quality of life.

A huge thank you to Katja whose care and treatment I would highly recommend.

Thank you ever so much for the brilliant and prompt service by Katja yesterday;

it seems to have done the trick, and Dotty is now walking about perfectly normally!

Hi. I would just like to thank Thorsten and the staff at Pets Relaxed for making it as lovely as it could possibly be when we had to say goodbye to our lovely girl Paris.
Thorsten was so kind and gentle and made everything so much easier. Thank you.

I wanted to thank you as well for your customer care.

It has obviously been a difficult time with Tosca but you have been fantastic and caring every time I have spoken to you.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming to our aid with Lola on Monday, I honestly don’t know what we’d have done without you.

When I saw you coming up the path it was honestly like an angel had arrived. As soon as you came in poor Lola relaxed (and so did I).

You were marvellous and I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You are simply wonderful

Thank you so much for your kind, courteous help today with Rowdy, we very much appreciated the help and advice.
Dingo had her appointment with Thorsten yesterday and I just wanted to say how very impressed and grateful I am to have such a lovely person visit my cat.
He was so kind and gentle and the nicest vet I have ever seen.
Well done for suppling such a wonderful service for our beloved animal friends.
Brilliant service from Thorsten today, I was amazed at how chilled and relaxed the cats were as well as myself.
Thank you so much.
Also thank you for all the compassion and care you have shown - You have made something so awful a little bit more bearable.
Please also thank Katja for coming to us and for making it as bearable and least stressful for Bernie.
Hi, this is just to thank you for the very calm and compassionate visit to my home to euthanise Lenny you made the experience as good as it could be and my lovely Lenny ended his life not scared and anxious in the vets thank you again so much and I don't hesitate to tell everyone what a wonderful service you provide.
Thanks again for everything.
Saying our final goodbye to Freddie was without doubt the hardest and most painful thing I’ve ever done but that he went so peacefully, and with such kindness and compassion, definitely makes it easier to bear.
And for that I will always be grateful.
